Lately I have recieved a number of comments about the oath used is wrong.
I know this. We (see some of the comments below) have decided to alter the oath to honor the animated Transformers movie of 1986. Some older like me might remember it.
...and use the power of the matrix to light our darkest hour.

I know that as Basic concept of the "vs."-writings. In the beginning they are enemies but soon they ally against the real evil.

This is actually possible. Cybertronians are basically aliens, so, if one is worthy, the rings would be obligated to make said Cybertronian a Lantern.
