I have lots of amber with insects...and sticks and stuff.
I did buy them not find them. The David Attenbourgh DVD on amber is amazing.

Ja? Knollenblätterpilze gibt's eigentlich immer genug. Manche Leute schaffen es sogar, die mit Champignons zu verwechseln. Und dann... :dead:

Yes no eating the death cap folks.. Sluggo there is good though hehe. A gorgeous mushroom nonetheless. The green flora definitely brings out the yellow/green colouration of the cap. Great shot!

I have found a very similar deathcap! I wasn't sure if it was a deathcap or a citrina because it was so light green - but like yours it didn't have the patches on the cap. Very interesting find. :D

They come in several shades of colors from green over yellow/brown to white. But if it has a volva you can be sure it is a deat cap.

Actually, Amanita citrina also has a volva, which is why it's so difficult to distinguish from the death cap! It's volva is an abrupt one, though, whereas the death cap has a more sac-like volva. Amanita citrina also has patches that the death cap lacks (although they can be missing), and also smells like raw potatoes. :D

But it's also called False Death Cap (which is a hint I guess :D). He is poisonous in raw state, can be eaten after heating I think. But I would never, never, never take these. They are too easily mixed with the Death Cap.

Absolutely. I don't think I would ever eat any Amanita, for that matter! :D
